Investigation of Compatibility Between Serological Tests Used in Laboratory Diagnosis of Brucellosis

چکیده
Aim: In the diagnosis of brucellosis, production microorganisms in blood or bone marrow culture is considered gold standard. But it not always possible to produce microorganism. For this reason, serological tests are used diagnose brucellosis. Rose Bengal test (RB), Standard Tube Agglutination (STA), Coombs Test (CT) and 2-Mercaptoethanol (2-ME) common methods. Immunocapture-agglutination (ICA) Brucella Gel (BCGT) that can detect blocking antibodies along with total antibodies. The aim our study was determine whether there compatibility between ICA BCGT tests.Material Methods: Serum samples were taken from patients a preliminary RBT testing performed primarily on all samples. Forty positive 40 negative sera included study. All serum studied by STA, CT, 2-ME, determined using kappa (κ) coefficient Cohen analysis method. Results: 28 detected as STA 2-ME 30 them CT. results found be Kappa compliance (Kappa 1.0 <0.001) excellent. Compliance good 0.7 p< 0.001). CT showed very level 0.8 p<0.001). There 2ME test, (kappa 0.001), also 1.0, p<0.001).Conclusion: According these results, use tests, both number will reduced time receive reduced. further studies needed sensitivity specificity based results. after that, we believe diagnostic test.

Evaluation of serological tests for diagnosis of brucellosis.
The aim of the present study was to compare serological tests (Rose Bengal [RB]; standard agglutination test [SAT]; enzyme immunoassay [EIA] for detection of IgM, IgA, and IgG; and 2-mercaptoethanol [2-ME] test) that are routinely used in patients prediagnosed with different clinical types of brucellosis (acute, subacute, or chronic), and to evaluate the results of the IgG avidity test. Ninety-...

Methods: Review the recent literature on brucellosis serology diagnostic tests. The choice of the testing strategy depends on the prevailing brucellosis epidemiological situation and the goal of testing. Results: The ‘gold standard’ for the diagnosis of brucellosis is isolation and identification of the causative bacterium, a member of Brucella sp. Isolation of Brucella sp. requires high securi...

15 صفحه اولEVALUATION OF !FA, IHA AND BLA TESTS IN THE SEROLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS OF AMEBIC LIVER ABSCESS
As there was not any previous comprehensive study on the serological tests for hepatic amebiasis in Iran, the indirect hemagglutination (IHA), indirect fluorescent antibody (IF A), and biocolored latex agglutination (BLA) tests were evaluated in the serodiagnosis of amebic liver abscess(ALA). For this purpose a total of 165 serum samples 18 of which were obtained from patients known to have...
متن کاملLatent class evaluation of three serological tests for the diagnosis of human brucellosis in Bangladesh
BACKGROUND A Bayesian latent class evaluation was used to estimate the true prevalence of brucellosis in livestock farmers and patients with prolonged pyrexia (PP) and to validate three conditionally dependent serological tests: indirect ELISA (iELISA), Rose Bengal Test (RBT), and standard tube agglutination (STAT). A total of 335 sera from livestock farmers and 300 sera from PP patients were i...
